     I’ve just spent the last couple of days sparring with three or four liberals about the upcoming election.  If you could call it sparring.  I haven’t been subjected to as much namecalling, backbiting, insults and vitriol since I was single and broke up with a couple of girlfriends at the same time.

     There was no rhyme or reason, merely the discovery that I didn’t share their political views and actually admire and am proud of President Bush.  I mentioned abortion and was immediately attacked for the US forces killing mothers and babies overseas in Iraq with bombs and scud missles.  The murder of babies in the womb was quickly relegated to oblivion.  My sign on for this blog “Davisoftheapes1″ was attacked and villified as ridiculous by folks with the monikers Uncle Fester Lurks and WC BAboon.  Although silly, I don’t think davisoftheapes is any sillier that theirs.

     A mere mention of the name Jesus  caused such a landslide of insults and opinions that Christians don’t read the bible, they just “worship” Bush and how questions of “How could I possibly be a follower of Jesus if I have the audacity to back the President who is a war criminal and should be on trial as we speak at the Hague.”

     It was fun, but grew quickly tiring.  I’m thankful to trade the experience in for discourse with people who don’t accuse me of having herpes and question my sexual orientation.
