Just a couple of things.

Jesse stuck his foot in his mouth.  Big Deal.  Bill Clinton stuck a cigar in his mouth one time, the only problem was where he had it right before.  What difference does it make?  Have you ever said something you wish you hadn’t?  Of course, we all have.  Don Imus, Mel Gibson, Kramer, Teresa Heinz and Hilary concerning her plane disembarkment in Bosnia, are but a few examples of  how“we ought to think before we speak.”   My view of Barak Obama has softened just a little bit.  Not enough for me to vote for him by any means, but, I can empathize with his statement of personal responsibility.  I don’t see what Jesse meant when he said Barak was “talking down” to black people by stating the obvious.  By that definition, “talking down” is having the audacity to verbalize an unpopular point of view that people don’t want to hear or be reminded of.  Sort of like Phil Gramm. Sort of like Bill Cosby.  Cosby didn’t say anything that wasn’t the absolute truth.  Did he?  If so, what?

How can anyone argue with the premise of personal responsibility?  If you have sex, impregnate a woman and she has a baby, it’s your responsibility.  Period.  The baby is a person.  Period.  It’s not a decision between a woman and her doctor, it’s a baby.  You shouldn’t kill it.  If you do, you’re a sorry son of a bitch.

Political correctness gone askew once again. “Talking Down” many times used to describe the simple truths. It is the intellectual or elitist attitude towards an issue they cannot defend. It is an offensive weapon to NO ANSWER and NO DEFENSE.

‘COMMON SENSE’ is the enemy of Evil and ‘TRUTH’ is the enemy of conflict.
